Executive Grapevine has been registered with the List Warranty Register (LWR) since it’s inception in 1994. The List Warranty Register promotes best practice within the list industry and helps to raise standards for the benefit of the industry and the consumer. The warranty is an assurance that the data has been collected lawfully, is up to date and complies with relevant Codes of Practice. We adhere to and support its code of best practice.

We have been a registered list owner with the Information Comissioner since January 1994. All our research and commercial activity relating to our list business is conducted under the strict guidelines set out in the Data Protection Act. You can find us listed on the Data Protection Register at www.ico.gov.uk.

Specifically the Data Protection Act requires you to:
Only send mail that relates to business matters. Make sure you have a return address on the envelope (so that the Royal Mail can return any letters that are incorrectly addressed). You can return these 'gone aways' to us so that we can update our records too. You must ensure there is an option for the addressee to remove himself or herself from the list. If you are using email addresses your email must contain a simple single step and free mechanism whereby the person can opt out of receiving any further e-marketing communications from you. This is an important part of complying with the Electronic Communications Act.

We reserve the right to report any of our clients not complying with these guidelines to the Information Commissioner. The Data Protection Act exists to protect people from the companies who take no care over the compilation and updating of their data. As a company Executive Grapevine confirms to the DMA Code of Practice, and the British Codes of Advertising and Sales Promotion.

Compliance with the Electronic Communications Act
Executive Grapevine only sell business mailing lists and therefore do not hold any private email addresses. We do not hold freeware email addresses e.g hotmail, google or yahoo. For business leaders we only hold individual email address not generic info@ or sales@ however some of the smaller recruitment firms on our EGOLD product do list this as their only contact. We will only sell lists for legitimate business purposes to third parties that can demonstrate that their marketing campaigns are relevant to the individuals listed and who agree to comply with the current legislation.
